Stage 1 | Saturday, July 6 | 160km - 3400+
Starting from Montbrió del Camp, in the Baix Camp, the first stage accumulates 3300 meters of positive unevenness distributed in 7 mountain passes, among which we can highlight La Teixeta, La Mussara and Coll de l’Arena. La Serra de La Mussara and Muntanyes de Prades take a big role in this first part of the Tour, whereas the final part of the day will take part at the Natural Park of the Montsant.
The double passage through Prades speaks on its own: one of the most popular villages in the area, where we recommend stopping by to take a break. The last kilometers surround the incredible the Montsant Natural Park. The end of your first stage takes place in Margalef, where we will be waiting for you at the Fonda for a delicious local dinner.

We leave Margalef and surround the Montsant passing through Escaladei and the “No ploris nen”. We then head to one of the most incredible locations on the route: Siurana. A medieval village perched on the top of a huge limestone rock with the Pantà de Siurana at its feet.
The hardness of this stage has nothing to envy to the previous one. Although we face less unevenness, the ports are characterized by stronger ramps. A good example are the three road sections at 16% that will end our 320km at the Castell d’Escornalbou.
